Storehouse Issue 15 was entitled, ‘Progression’, and we here at Storehouse Magazine want to continue this thematic trend 15 issues later for Issue 30. We want to explore what movements have shaped the world we live in and take a step back from the idea of progress to look at the bigger picture of movement itself. The topic of movement is endless, and can be as grandiose as describing the galaxy or as personal as cataloging one’s own journey. What adventures, rhythms, stories, and understandings will movement reveal to you?
Movement in it’s broadest sense can be described simply as a physical and/or metaphorical change of state. A ballerina dancing, a historic revolution, mass animal migration; what they share in common is a movement towards a desired or destined outcome. Furthermore, quantifying movement can serve to detect trends, helping us understand the ways in which movements have occurred and deepen our connection to the world around us.
Like the ballerina, the floor is yours. What does the term movement mean to you? Where will Issue 30 of Storehouse Magazine lead you?
